Hello PLD!

I am a Linux beginner, and am searching for a great Distro and hope that I
found it.

Here is my Question...

I have downloaded the *.iso (pld-i686-1.iso, pld-i686-2.iso), and burned
them to a disk, but is the disk bootable? Mine seems to not boot to the
installer.

Am I doing something wrong?

If there is not bootable installer... then how would I install PLD?

You need pld-base.iso. It is bootable and contains installer.

No, just kloczek is too stubborn. It was proposed several times to
change cd naming, because current is too misleading...

Thank you for your help. I will download the "base" and try that.

I am hoping that PLD will make a good web/mail and FTP server. I have tried
SME Linux (e-smith.org) it is very simple but will not let others outside me
network FTP into my webserver. RedHat Linux is just too much. If I install
the "WebServer" that they suggest, it installs all these packages that I do
not need.

I am looking forward to PLD Linux... I am sure you will hear from me again
:)
